Cast your ballot on March 15

Dutch citizens who live abroad and are registered to vote can cast their ballot in the March 15 by post.

When voting abroad, voters do not go to a polling station. They do, however, send a completed letter by post. The postal vote can also be delivered at the embassy. The processing and counting of the votes are being done by postal voting stations.

The Embassy of the Netherlands in Washington, D.C. is such a postal voting station.

The postal voting station has to receive the orange self-addressed envelope no later than March 15 at 3 p.m. local time. All the votes that are delivered before 3 p.m. local time will be counted. All the votes delivered after 3 p.m. local time shall not be included. If you are not bringing the orange envelope in person on March 15, please make sure the envelope has sufficient postage and arrives at the embassy before 3 p.m.

The embassy postal voting station will be opened from 7:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. March 15.
